In this role, you’ll work on Integrated Drive Generators (IDGs) – complex mechanical components that are essential for generating power in aircraft.

Your responsibilities

You will work in the Schiphol maintenance shop on the overhaul and repair of IDGs – systems where gears, shafts, and rotating components must fit together perfectly.

Your tasks include:

  • Inspecting and testing IDGs using advanced test benches.
    Dismantling, overhauling, and rebuilding gearboxes and drive systems.
  • Performing precision repairs on gears, bearings, and shafts.
  • Accurately documenting all work in accordance with aviation standards.
  • Collaborating with an experienced team that will train you in aviation-specific procedures.

You will work in a modern, internationally oriented workshop at Schiphol, where your mechanical maintenance experience is combined with the precision and safety standards of the aviation industry. Your skills

  • Vocational (MBO 3/4) diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Machine Building, Aviation Technology, or similar.
  • Experience in the overhaul or maintenance of rotating drives, gearboxes, or transmissions.
  • Willingness to learn aviation-specific techniques and procedures.
  • Good command of English.
  • Accurate, technically strong, and a true team player.

Our offer

  • Salary range: €2,830 – €4,612 gross per month.
  • 40 days off per year (27 vacation days + 13 ADV days).
  • Flexible working hours: day shifts starting between 06:00 and 09:00.
