Your responsibilities

Self-driving metros? Yes, that's right. These latest models are already used in London, Dubai, and America, and this is a unique opportunity to work on this modern technology. Soon, a large batch of used metros will arrive in Rotterdam to be completely stripped and rebuilt. This is not only technically speaking an interesting challenge but also sustainable.

You will join a team of 7 other technicians with different backgrounds. Together, you ensure that the metros are fully refurbished so they can run again. You will work a day shift, starting at 07:00 AM.

With your electrotechnical/mechatronic knowledge, you will be responsible for tasks such as switch cabinets, distribution boxes, transformers, cabling, and installing panels and LED screens in these self-driving metros. Additionally, you will perform various other electrical tasks to ensure the metros are in perfect condition.

Your work environment

You will work at the market leader in the development and maintenance of trains, trams, and metros. At this location in Rotterdam, the focus is specifically on the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives, and soon also metros.

Your skills

You have completed a vocational training (mbo level 3/4) in a mechanical field;
You possess a VCA-VOL and forklift certificate or are willing to obtain these;
A high-lift certificate is a plus;
You have experience with cabling machines, working with switch cabinets/panels, and/or installing equipment.

Salary
